51. Energy + Red Hot Core + Hula Hooping!

Blimey. So Diamond Cutter was certainly a thing. Took me a while to recover from that, my poor legs!
Today was fine, I remembered to come up on my fingertips during a standing split which did slightly help. I can't believe how crap my hamstrings still are, after all this time I feel like they've barely improved at all. I know I've not been as strenuous as I could have been, but I can maybe reach one inch closer to my toes than when I started. It's fucking awful.
Upper arms are better, because there are fewer push ups in this I tried to not use my knees, which went, er, well....it went. I didn't really manage it more than once. I fell like my form has really improved during broken table, I'm trying to focus in keeping my leg flat because I think it drops while I'm not paying attention.

Red Hot Core felt like harder work than usual, I used a couple more modifications. I'm really annoyed by my inability to straighten my legs during this workout, it's incredibly frustrating. 10-count push up was fine, stayed on my knees though, ugh.

Yesterday evening I went to see a friend's new studio! Spent a lovely hour hooping with mirrors so I could actually see how ungraceful I am (very) and worked on my routine which was needed. Worked a lot on leg hooping so I'm expecting bruises.

50. Diamond Cutter

Bahahahahahahahahahha. I thought I'd do something new for the 50th post. This was just a sad, bitter laughathon from start to finish. An HOUR? A fucking HOUR? Ye gods, like I don't struggle to fit this shit in enough as it is. Fortunately I had plenty of time before work. OR SO I THOUGHT *music sting*

So, where to begin. I was initially pleased with the amount of press ups I managed to do, using my knees of course, I even really enjoyed the exploding press ups. However by the 10, or was it 15 count ones at the end even planking was beyond me. My arms.

Side planking was a JOKE. I could get a foot out in front of me but by no stretch of the imagination or anything else could I lift it up.

After stupid below the belt the other day my legs are a mangled wreck so broken table crunches were more challenging than usual, and I goddamn hate three legged dog. I don't have enough form in down dog to do it effectively without my knees bending everywhere. I think I need to go to some actual yoga classes where a person can look at me and tell me which bits I'm doing wrong because I feel like some of these poses are hurting more than they're helping.

Anyway I finished without any actual death and I actually felt like I could do more than I had expected, then I looked forward to a nice hot bath.

NOPE. Forgot about starting early, had the quickest of washes, ran to work and spent the day uncomfortable and wishing for death.

Hooraaaaaay.

49. Below The Belt

Oh hi there, 10 second push up, you were surprisingly manageable. Ha! Most other things were terribly uncoordinated but functioned nonetheless.
Three legged dog is a nightmare because I can't straighten either leg, ditto standing split, though I must remember that's easier if I come up on my fingertips so I can straighten my standing leg a little more.
Flexibility has slightly improved, not where it was before I had a nice summer but better than when I started.

Diets been good, we're trying to be more vegetarian and it's going ok. I've discovered roasted chickpeas in salad and they're the fucking bomb, like croutons but not bread. It's nice to feel healthy again after festivals and junk food for months.

48. Fat Burner + Red Hot Core

Ha! Take that stupid body!

Ow.

So that was ok, I managed all five sets of push ups but lay on the floor and cried a little during the 10 second one in Red Hot Core. Leg strength is still ok, flexibility is still poo. My stomach muscles are complaining a little but I did ok with one a very few modifications. I still have difficulty with thunderbolt, I can't squat very deeply and definitely can't lift my arms up, I'm not sure what kind of flexibility that means I lack but boy am I lacking it.

We did a food shop and now I have AMAZING salad for lunch, it has literally everything in it: Couscous, red peppers, onion, garlic, mushroom, sweetcorn, spinach, avocado, sweet potato, broccoli and egg. It was boss.

47. Energy

Ugh. Yes, well. Period followed by festival followed by recovering from festival. Summer's always a bag of dicks when it comes to getting stuff done.
Everything is rubbish again, though not completely back to square one, still no flexibility and upper body strength is worse but not hopeless.
I think I should probably invest in a proper yoga mat instead of just relying on the rug because my spine is unhappy.
Onward and upward anyway, fun is over for this year so I can actually start being healthy again.
